Chair at UAF Ethics and Fair Play Committee Francesco Baranca to Speak at Ukrainian Gaming Week 2022

Ukraine is now only at the beginning of the formation of an honest legal gambling market. One of the most important steps towards this is the fight against fixed matches.

Francesco Baranca, Chair at the Ethics and Fair Play Committee at The Ukrainian Association of Football will talk about the regulated data betting rights, prohibited bets in minor and youth championships on March 23 – the first day of Ukrainian Gaming Week 2022 conference.

During his work on the committee, he managed to reduce the number of fixed matches drastically. With his assistance, The Ukrainian Association of Football succeeded in becoming first association in the world to have regulated data betting rights.

In 2020, the speaker became a consultant to Sport Integrity Team and in 2021 – to Table Tennis Federation of Ukraine.

In his practice, the expert cooperated with the judiciary authorities and initiated police operations against match-fixing, including Oikos in Spain, the cases of Cremona, Catanzaro and others.
